It's been a long musical road since the original "South Florida Blues Festival" took place on Sunday, November 22, 1987. The Original Festival was held in the back parking lot and inside the Musicians Exchange Cafe at the Musicians Exchange(TM) Complex on Sunrise Blvd. in Ft. Lauderdale.

It with is with much disappointment we announce the postponement of the 2009 Riverwalk Blues and Music Festival. After much deliberation the festival organizers have determined there is not enough sponsorship and funding to hold the annual music festival as planned. Numerous alternative plans are being discussed to move the date later for 2009 or begin working on a festival plans for 2010. Updates will be posted at www.riverwalkbluesfestival.com.
